Yaotsu Town – Experience the mountain village where Chiune Sugihara spent his childhood

10:30AM: Meet at Shin Kani Station

11:30: 〇; Lunch at “Ryori Ryokan Ikoi”

1:30PM: 〇; Visit at the Chiune Sugihara Memorial Hall
<Chiune Sugihara was a Japanese diplomat who helped thousands of Jewish refugees escape Europe during World War II by issuing transit visas. He is remembered for his courage and humanity>

3:00: 〇; Tea kneading experience at Iwadairacyaenn (*Other farming experiences may occur depending on the season and conditions.)
● Introduction to Iwadairacyaenn
● Explanation of tea at Iwadairacyaenn
● Start tea kneading (simple one using a hot plate)
● Tasting of the finished tea along with seasonal Japanese sweets

4:00: Tea garden walking/shopping
● Let’s take a walk around the park at dusk with the Iwadairacyaenn map!

4:30: 〇; Start moving to Tomariya Akane
● Go through the old town of Kutami and head to your place of stay. Please come while enjoying the mountain post town that once flourished due to logistics

5:00: Check-in Tomariya Akane
● It is a Japanese-style lodging house in rich nature
The surrounding area is a rural landscape with cedar groves and rice paddies all over. Please spend time in your room until your meal or while exploring the surrounding area

6:00: Dinner
● Please spend a relaxing time eating, taking a bath, and enjoying the night sky of Kutami Kogen

9:30: 〇; Visit the Fukuchi Forestry Site in Yaotsu Town/ About the current and past conditions of forestry in Japan

12:00PM: Lunch at local restaurant

1:00: 〇; Transfer to Rat Desigh ShopA

1:30-4:30: Woodworking experience begins
completion/photo shoot

5:00: 〇; Back to Tomariya Akane

6:00: Dinner

Yaotsu Town – Explore the natural resources of the mountain forests

7:30AM: Breakfast (Tomariya Akane)

9:30: 〇; Historic Site Nishikori Tsunaba ~ Kiso River ~ Sosui Gorge Tour ~ Maruyama Dam Observatory/Story of Yaotsu, which flourished with boat transportation
● Utilization of the “Yaotsu Danjiri Festival,” a town festival that flourished with boat transportation and use of the “wisteria vine” that makes forestry professionals cry

12:00PM: Lunch at local restaurant

1:30: 〇; ● Festival-related experiences that can be made depending on the season
(Straw rope making/wisteria flower tour/bamboo picking/wisteria craft experience/etc… mountain entanglement, test hiking once a year ⇒ timetable changes.)

5:00: 〇; Back to Tomariya Akane

Check out at 9:00 and leave Tomariya Akane

10:30: 〇; Shin-Tabisoko Bridge – Watch the Bungee Jumping Experience

11:30: Walking around Honcho

● Japanese sake tasting at the brewery (Hanamori Sake Brewery/Brewery Yamada)

2:00PM: 〇; The tour ends at Shin Kani Station or Minoota Station. Meeting time and location can be arranged based on your convenience
